Williams River House Bed and Breakfast Chester Vermont

The Innkeepers

Geof Brown and Mark Martins Welcome to a very special Vermont guesthouse and gentlemanís farm. We are Geoffrey Brown and Mark Martins, life and business partners for thirty years. Twelve years ago we had a vision for creating a unique, intimate bed and breakfast where the venue would not only include a beautiful, comfortable and relaxed atmosphere but also be a place to experience Vermont at its best. The c. 1780 Federal style farmhouse is our home as well as the inn and is a tribute to our love for classic New England architecture and landscape. Every year we continue to design, create and improve the estate with period gardens, terraces and buildings. We enjoy collecting and filling the house with period antiques as well as photos, paintings, vintage kitchen items and books. We have a laid back attitude and a genuine gift for hospitality. Our goal was and is to make your stay and time in Vermont a memorable one.

Sincerely,
Mark and Geof

Collette
We would also like to introduce our house manager and gracious fellow host, Collette Benoit. Among the many talents of this creative woman is that she holds a masters degree in costume design, is an outstanding floral designer and a certified professional organizer, all of which are put to great use here at the inn and farm. She has a passion for all types of gardening and loves animals. Collette and her partner of 15 years also live in Chester, Vermont.

Dudley & Buzz
Meet Dudley and Buzz, our two pugs (Dudley in blue, Buzz in red), a father and son team sure to have you in their power shortly after you arrive. They are playful yet calm, entertaining and lovable.

We do have a cat, Tuna Betty. She is indoor-outdoor cat but we want our guests to be aware in case of allergies. Our animals are not allowed in the guest rooms. Tuna Betty
